I am a native English speaker, fluent in French and I have been teaching for over 8 years now.

I come from a multicultural and multilingual family from the UK but I now live in South Africa which has 11 official languages, and so language is a very big part of my life.

I love teaching but I also love learning and I now have 7 qualifications in different fields including Business, Wine,

Hi, I'm Ndyana

Music, Law and my most recent being Film, which is my passion. Film was very important for me to learn while growing up, especially for language, so it has a large part of my heart.

As I mentioned, I am a native English speaker with a neutral 'Received Pronunciation' (RP) accent, and while French is my second language, I can understand (in part) 4 other languages (Italian, Spanish, Latin & Japanese). And when I am not teaching, I work on designs or films, of course, and spend time outdoors climbing mountains or swimming in the sea, or eating. I'm very good at eating, haha.

As a Level 5 TEFL certified educator coming up to almost 9 years of teaching experience, I have taught many students from ages 6 to 60 from all over the world. As a multilingual and multicultural person myself, I have had the same struggles in my own native language of English, but going back to my British roots allowed me to discover an easier path to learn and understand English.

In my years of teaching, I've discovered that people learn better AND faster when:

1. They actually enjoy it.

2. The lesson is personalised to them.

3. They are involved in their own learning journey

So when my student tells me their language goals, my first step is to find their individual language strengths and weaknesses to create a personlised learning routine and lesson plan so that they can reach those language goals as fast and as easy as possible.
