1.1 Use imperatives in instructions, orders or advice.


Examples

Turn on the computer, open the document, and type your name. (instruction) 

Take an umbrella with you if it's going to rain.(advice)

Stop talking and listen to the instructions. (order)

Use «please» to be polite: Please, stop talking. 


1.2 Don’t use «you» with imperatives and don’t change the verb form. 


Examples
